JAMMU: The
Army
on Sunday released an enormous combing and search operation (CASO) in a forward border location in
Poonch
district of J&K, asking residents to remain inside as a precaution.
According to official sources, alert Army soldiers, while patrolling in the basic forest of
Keri
location of Mendhar sector around 3.30 am, observed some suspicious motions and opened fire. “No one was hurt in the shooting by the soldiers as it was speculative shooting on suspicious motion,” an official stated.
Sources stated that though there was no retaliation from the believed person/s, the Army released an enormous search operation in the location and adjacent forests.
“All roadways resulting in the
Keri-Galhuta
town of Mendhar and its adjacent locations were closed for normal traffic in view of the continuous search operation, and the citizens were asked to remain inside as a preventive procedure,” a source stated, including that the searches were finished in the inhabited location however nobody was detained.
Combing operation is still going on in the basic forest of Keri-Galhuta location however there was no contact with presumed terrorists up until now, the official stated.
